Default What would be a better base for a 1.5 tj mrs L trail or scx 10

Iam also thinking of going with the proline cherokee.

either way the build will be on 1.5's and I am not sure what the better base to build off of would be, Will the MRC axles hold up? does the 300 size motor in the mrc have enough power to push around a 1/10th 1/12th scale rig?

I am going to keep browsing around and looking at all these 1.5 builds in the mean time to see what I can come up with.

With the proline body the best bet would be an Axial SCX for duability and width. The MRC axles would be too narrow for that body.

Well, I would go with the SCX axles, because if you need to extend the driving shaft, it's gonna be a PITA, and damn weak. RC4WD isn't making extended drive shaft for 4mm pin. There is still the Traxxas option (search the forum), but it's ugly, bulky, and not as tough as a real shaft :/
So, unless you find a way to make decent extended drive shaft for 4mm pin/Losi MRC axles, go for the SCX.
BTW, MRC axles them self are really tough, they won't break easily.

Someone figured out a great way to do the driveshafts.

You could also use villian yokes on traxxas driveshafts to extend them.
They're white/chrome:

I do like how scale they look

They WILL be too narrow for the Proline body though. You could choose to use the MRC axles and wideners though. that would keep the smaller, more scale look of the MRC axles if thats what you were after.
