| GARAGEWORKS Jeep LJ build...Adding another LJ to the fleet! UPDATE 3-17 New pics!
Well what can i say i love building LJ's. My first Rokmen LJ build was my first and i used this one to build upon and correct some of the mistakes i made the first time around. This Jeep is for my son since he loves Jeeps too and cant hang with Dad in his IFS LR3 scaler. Well i wont clog this thread with step by step photos of every little thing ive done. Ill just skip to the photos of significant work done. This build is based upon the Poison Spider LJ you all know. Anyways heres some pics of the progress. And here what the rear bumper will look like Ive got more to do but hope to complete it before my sons 11th Bday on Mar 1. Need to speed it up! Last edited by ser3100; 03-17-2011 at 09:21 AM. So March 1, your gonna have to put extra hours to get it done. Looks better on here than on my phone. Your metal fab skills are getiing a lot better man. I'm gonna need some tips for some future projects. Are you gonna run a transfer case? Need parts? Let me know.

Yeah a t case is a must cause im gonna keep all the interior intact. What kinda parts you got? Come by the pad anytime if you wanna fab up some stuff. Im basically done with the hard stuff. Everything else should flow easily since i can just look at the other LJ for reference.

Well id really like the killer Tcase but i kinda got used to using axial trannies as T cases. Another HPI gru if ya got one. If you got any TLT link mounts that would help.

I know im lagging sorry. I took a couple days off last week but am back to building. Dont think ill be done by then but def wont take as long as i did with the first LJ build. This one has way more done for bieng only a month into it. Just finishing the body work and armor then get to the suspension and so forth. I should have some pics up soon.

OK its been a long while since ive updated this and for that, im sorry. Ive had other priorities (family life) to deal with and whatever time i had extra, i would work on this rig. Well here is a quick update as to where i am with this. Suspension is all dialed in and the only thing left to do is put the electronics, driveshafts, and lights in. Probably gonna add a little more weight to it as well. Well see after her first maiden run. Enjoy! |

It's stance is perfect. Don't worry about the long delay, this is only a hobby, more important stuff needs to be taken care of first.
