Just got in a Sami from Big Dawgz. It was priced right so I couldn't pass it up. Normal Samurai build.. ~MRC axles ~ L trail Plans include Mini Sidewinder and a different motor and 3S. Sliders, front and rear bumpers, interior I got to work on it a little bit today. Put some rollers on it just to see what it'd look like. It's waaay too narrow with these wheels on it but they're not staying on it. If someone would email/text/call/PM me back it'll eventually roll on 1.5's. So far 2 vendors are dropping the ball on some custom beadlocks.. It came with HR bent links and was set up with a stock wheelbase. I really like the looks of the front being pushed out and the frame didn't quite fit right for my taste so it went from this. To this. Keep in mind the body is not mounted. I moved the rear links back a hole in the chassis and moved the body back a tad. Now it looks like the front is shoved out but actually the rear is stretched so I get the look I want and a little performance gain. Then I was kinda just checking things out and noticed the chassis is just a tad wider than I'd like it to be. So I removed these washers and slapped it back together. Now I just need to thin down the other crossmembers. Plans are kinda up in the air still. Definitely gonna rock some 1.5 Boggers on the rear and Stompers on the front. I'd really like to build this thing kinda stock but I can't help but want to do something like this.. I don't wanna get that nuts with the rear though. Probably more like a Jeep rear fender with the tubes. Lemme know what ya think. Last edited by Brainstain; 08-29-2011 at 08:56 PM. |

Cool, Another Sammi Build. I like the tube work idea with leaving the the rear fenders in tack, or even comp cut or a dove tail. be careful with the body, they are expensive and takes a while to get them |

I'm building this one and I'm collecting parts for another Sami for my dads Christmas present. He used to race them in tough trucks so I think he'll like a lil one. I'll probably just comp cut the front and rear and make some tube rail fenders for both. Me and lexan body mods don't mix well. I tried doving the front of a Chevy and it got real ugly.. |

I remember cutting my fenders off and thinking to myself..." nice and easy, $50 dollar body measure twice cut once" |
