Thanks for the ideas, I have a jk body that needed cut-up. I'm @ about the same point along as you are, but I'm doing a 4 door. Any thoughts on the chassis your going to use? Thinking the scx chassis might not work because the bumpers need to be so high. I'm getting a scx chassis and some dingo bumpers today, so i can confirm that later. I might just cut a custom frame out of a large 18in. cutting board, and keep it old school and use pede tranny and tlt axles. Need to buy a star one of these days.

I'm running losi axles. A for the chassis, it will be a one off frame. Youre correct the bumpers will be mounted pretty high also. Again, those will be one off too. Thanks for checking out my build! | |

Looking better and better all the time. The winch is really nice, love that detail. Keep it coming. I think you have many following in your footsteps.

Damn. Double damn. Don't know how I missed this one, but my next build was going to be something similar. Had it in mind before the FC concept pictures hit the market... NICE work, wish I had half the chops you have! |

Out of some manner of good luck this body has found it's way into my hands!! It is not in very good shape anymore. Broken front roll pan, a couple of seperated fenders and that sweet handmade winch is gone. Otherwise still pretty solid and complete. Not sure what I am going to do with this thing yet. I just finished my first major styrene body modification with my lr3. The wheelbase is pretty much spot on with the honcho chassis my lr3 runs. Very tempted to find another honcho, roller/slider and make a sweet class1. The body is wide enough to pretty much cover the tires enough to be legal. But sadly the money just is not there right now. Also had the idea of making a sick class3 truggy with wraith axles on it. Lose the bed altogether and bend tubes all over. Don't have any wraith guts right now either so. Not happening. Soon anyway. I guess I'll just keep it in this box and think on it for a bit. |
