Default bmuzz1's '13 Class 1 F350 MRC on Leaf Springs

I've been gathering parts for this build since I got back from NWSC this past September.
I have always had a love for MRC's and have wanted to turn one into a scaler for some time so after seeing Dean's/Chino up close and personal and seeing it run I knew I had to make it happen. I posted a wanted add for a Jugg body and after some time Dean replied with the body I was looking for, a deal was struck and the body made its way to AZ.
I had to cut some notches in the frame to mount the rc4wd leaf mounts and then had a friend fab up the spring mounts and springs for the axles.
I made a flat Delrin skid to mount the tranny and to give a little extra belly clearance since the F350 won't be sky high on the 1.5 steelies and Mud Thrashers. Next I'll fab up a servo mount and a few chassis braces out of delrin.

Your a busy guy Brian! I like it! I'm gathering parts for a leaf sprung Class 1 rig right now using a Hilux, like that has never been done before

Lol! Gotta take advantage of every second I have because once this is done I can get going on my Class 2 project that is just sitting there begging me to work on it.

I'm sure you'll come up with something original for your Hilux.

Got my MIP's stretched out for the longer wheelbase.

Now to button up the tranny so I can move on to the servo mount and chassis braces.

Oh yeah! Bring back the MRC's!

Much better than stuper wide axles with equally wide fender flairs. True scale my friend, that's where it's at.

BTW, you are missing two wheel studs on each wheel... So not scale.

Not much of an update. I spent the morning cutting, drilling and tapping delrin chassis braces and the front servo mount. I cut a total of four 1/4"chassis braces, one 1" rear brace to mount the electronis box and the 3/4" servo mount. I used two 1/4" in front + the servo mount and two 1/4" plus the 1" electronics mount in the rear so it should be plenty stiff and allow the springs to do there thing. The chassis is now 2-3/8" wide bumper to bumper.
The servo has since been moved upright to leave some room for the battery

I am going to either use Velcro or body mounts on the electronics box to attach the bed and when I make sliders the cab will attach to them.
Here is a pic of the final ride height and a few showing how well the MRC axles fit under the Juggernaut body.

I was going to go for an adventure style rig but after giving it more thought I think to avoid it being too top heavy I am going to go simple, rear roll bar, front winch bumper and real simple single tube sliders from front wheel well to rear wheel well.

Not that easy working on three at one time though.

I will get that for you tonight but Chino is probably really close.

Thank you very much!

Not sure on color just yet, maybe a khaki green or Orange since I have some cans of Fusion in those colors still.

I've got a 4 day weekend coming up so I am hoping to get the tube work done and body work. I moved my servo to stand it up on the drivers side to eliminate push and also allow room for my battery along side.
