Default RC4WD SWB TF2 based CJ7

I'm super excited about this one! I was lucky enough to be selected as one of two RC4WD team drivers to have a crack at building something cool with the brand new RC4WD TF2 SWB chassis kit.
It comes in a very purdy box that has a matt finish and various shiny bits! All in all a lovely box! I'd rate the box a solid 8.5 out of 10 on the box-o-meter...

The plan is to assemble this one as per the instructions and then modify it to suit my urge to build a resto-modded CJ7..

A delightful box with many pretty bits to look at.

Assembled as per the manual. Mods to follow!

I really like this little innovation;

Curved shims to hold the leaf springs..

Did you happen to notice any quality issues with anything? Just built my first tf2 and the axles halves would not seat against each other, bad enough you could see the ring gear. Also one of the gears in the trans was not forged very well, and the truck was extremely loud. They have taken care of everything, but it seems like everyone lately is having issues with rc4wd quality.

Stuff happens, every company can have issues pop up. Hell even axial recalled all of the wraith wheel pin hubs, and sent out free hex hub replacements to tons of people. Its about how the company handles the issue in my book.

I like the short wheelbase chassis! Its perfect for a Jeep build like you are doing. I like that is has the single speed trans too, just keep it simple.
