| Another bland.....jeep build.....
I've never built a 1.55 rig...so with a current build of mine going "the simple yj" I decided to tackle this at the same time. I know jeeps have been done a gazillion times, but hey I like them so it is what it is. I want to keep this kinda low cost so I picked up a tf2 swb from a guy on the fs section artr with a tj body.....well leaf springs and tj's don't mix. So I had to order of course the body this chassis was made for the tamiya yj. So on to the build. Current parts on rig. Axial ae5 Castle bec Solar d772 servo Rc4wd 55t Rig as I received it |

Well the mud thrasher had to go...cause 1.9s aren't 1.55s. I picked up some good Ole rock stompers and some 1.9 ssd beadlocks. Stretching a 1.55 is a pain in the butt. But the end result looks fantastic. Almost forgot...plain jane yj body pic And why not put the two pics together Last edited by cmyers1; 01-25-2016 at 07:01 PM. |

Got back home from work and had these in the mail box While I was installing the Tera flex shackles I couldn't help but notice the inaccuracy of the front axle....so I flipped it to make it more scale. Also had to replace the tired std rc4wd 55t motor...this motor I found at rpp hobby and seeing how this jeep was low budget I figured I'd give it a try |

I like where you going with this! Two things... Sell the yotas and put on some k44s also the yj's came stock with the axle above the leaf spring . That being said people have flipped them under the spring for more lift. Looks good though.

| Re: Another bland.....jeep build..... Thanks man. As this is low budget axles are gonna stay for now...maybe later on I will slap different ones on it. Also if I go any lower with the suspension I will have to start cutting fenders. But I appreciate your feedback sir. |

Figured I'd try my hand at some warn rocker guards. Made my bend and placed a rod under the metal. Then used my body hammer to make the rounded shape. Also got some color layer down on this thing. |

Man love those wheels! The gold color looks good too. It would be neat to have some Golden Eagle stickers on it from the 80s
