I have been working on the Mutt. Looks like I will have him finished just in time for Crawl-a-palooza, and then I can get decent pictures. Sliders are built, but not painted. Got a Fish's Crawler Parts hat stuck on Crawler Jon's head.(mini me) Figured since I'm a team driver it was kinda cool. Hope y'all get some giggles out of the updates. |

All the stuff like the leaves, rubber chickens, dice and army man came from eBay. Search dollhouse and dollhouse miniatures. It's worth a look. tons of odd little scale items to be had. Here's the link for the figures. I'll warn you, they are a little on the stupid side as far as price goes, and the quality of the body is a joke, but still cool imo. Took Mutt for his first outing this morning and had to take pictures of the event I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with this ugly feller. Considering how small the tires are and how over weight he is I was surprised how well he gets around. Couldn't be happier with the end result of my crazy idea. He'll be heading to Crawlapalooza and getting entered in to the concourse in a few days. That should let me know if I did good or not. |

Mutt had a great time at Crawlapalooza. close to 3 great laugh filled miles under his belt. No problems at all, and I couldn't be happier with the way he gets around the rocks. The concourse was a bit discouraging. A lot of super nice rigs scattered across a vast layout of tables. I found a tiny open spot a squeezed Mutt into it and walked away cause in my mind I was already beat. 24 hours later at the award's ceremony it was time. Cody of CBE was presenting the awards, and after what seemed to be hours he got to most scale. I literally had my fingers crossed like a superstitious little kid. He called number 2. I just stood there in disbelief. Lucky, the full scale version of my passenger grabbed me and said get your ass up there, you did it. So, I went up, got my trophy, picture taken and started walking away still in disbelief. It finally soaked in the everyone was hollering at me to go back. I had no idea what I had done wrong till I looked at Cody and he said you ain't done yet. He held up another plaque and announced that Mutt got the majority of the votes for best in show. Talk about deer in the headlights. I was stunned. What an honer to be chosen by your peers and over the amazing rigs that were on display. Like a friend said, they must have felt sorry for me cause my driver is so damn ugly lol.

Bad-ass isn't bad-ass when it's been done to death. Those guys must've felt the same way. Your rig makes people want to puke and smile all at the same time. You can't beat that. Really happy for you... You deserved it. Congratulations!
