Default Something a little different

I've been working on something I have yet to see in R/C form. About a year ago I was doing the Google thing in an effort to come up with an idea for one of my Pacer bodies. I came across several pictures of the Pacer truck and then read a couple articles on them. This was something I have never seen in the 1:1 world or in the 1:10, and I fell in love with the idea of building a Pacer C1 rig. So, here's where I'm at so far. Hope you like

Oh! Nice rig too!!
Those were taken at the DMG after Jerry and I finished the bumpers. Really killer scale garage.

That is both terrible, and wonderful at the same time.

It's a Wall-Mart R/C. I just chopped the Pacer "bubble" off and converted it to a truck. Also filled in the huge rear fender wells.

Little bit of an update on the Pacer. Finally named it Mutt. It just seams fitting to me
Pretty much finished up the interior and now I'm down to a installing the electronics and wiring the lights. I'm sure you've all noticed that I build with humor. Seems like a lot of people get to serious about tiny trucks, and albeit I love scale, scale with a giggle is better in my book. Anyway, I dumped a bucket of hard earned dough and got a miniature me to drive the Mutt and while I was at it I got a figure made of my best crawling buddy, Lucky. He's the reason I got hooked on R/C crawlers in the first place, and since we travel to events together and crawl together every chance we get, I figured he should be riding shotgun. Plus any time I roll this rig I can say it's because he weighs to damn much.

I thought it was pretty cool when I saw the sea-foam Pacer body & 8-spoke steelies.

But when I saw the windshield crack, the Doritos bag, and the Camels... well... I realized that there isn't actually a word to describe that level of cool.

I can see that thing rolling out of a high-school auto-shop bay somewhere in the mid-west in 1980-something. And... is... is that bird s#!t on the hood???

It's Bird shit with a little purple in it from the mulberry trees. If you look really close you can see the bug guts on the windshield and leaves in the cowl. As a mechanic in the midwest, Every truck and car that I bring in to the shop has leaves, bird shit, bug guts and even road tar on it, and there is almost always some kind of wrappers and trash in the floor or on the dash. Thats an actual magazine on the dash that had a Pacer truck on the cover. I've been putting this together for quite a while if you were wondering lol

Oh man... speechless. There has to be a scale award for mulberry-laced bird shit!

Didn't even notice the bug guts or leaves... absolutely stellar!

Took one of the world’s ugliest cars and turned it into a butt ugly truck. Great job!
