Default Kincer's CJ7 project

Got this today, looked good in pics online but I'm blown away in person! This is just gonna get scaled out and trail driven.

That's a nice clean lookin' Jeep there. Look forward to seeing it once it's scaled out.

This thing is cool! I haven't even powered it up yet, comes with a decal over the grill that looks like the screens that people used to put on CJs, so I got curious and sure enough it has a Jeep grille under the decal! Detail is amazing, it's not a big rig though, same wheelbase as the Tamiya YJ.

I'm trying to decide what to about wheels yet, so in the meantime I installed a Hobbywing Fusion SE, put some leds I had laying around in the light buckets, found some old Tamiya YJ Jeep decals for the sides and back, added some Element hubs to the wheels, and added a little detail to the stock wheels with a silver sharpie for now.

Thanks, I can't stop looking at it lol, it's a TWS VTG80 CJ7, It's an offspring of MST from what I've heard and read, same wheel base as a Tamiya YJ. I got this at Asiatees on sale for $269

It's really nice, nice build quality, it's just small but actually scale. Same wheelbase as Tamiya YJ, they now ship with a decal over the grille but it's still a CJ grille underneath. I installed a Fusion SE in it, just for the simple fact that the Hobbywing 1060 it came with was mounted on the firewall and limited the amount the body could be lifted to change the battery, now I can hinge the body all the way up, with the bonus of a really nice brushless setup. Tires are also really nice for RTR, once I find a wheel I like I'm gonna soak these in acetone and mount them on the new wheels.
