i decided to build a replica of my dads truck for his birthday.. here are some pics and if you have a standard bed that you would like to trade for my stepside let me know.but here are some pics and here is the truck i am replicating got the body stripped and primed.. yes.. after i get all the body work done i will paint it just like the real truck.. i still need to add a sun roof and a winch on the bumper.. and some stuff in the cab..

got bord so i "finished" the bumper.. also made a fake winch out of a maxx axle i cut down and rapped it in some small wire i had laying around.. looks pretty good to me.. |

got some paint.. i think im going sand blast it to dull the finish.. but other then the shine i think its spot on.. well tell me what you think.. :applause: |

I'm not sure I'd sand blast it unless you can control it down to a lite spray. I would worry about loosing detail on edges. Try some 00 steel wool or crocus cloth, light pressure and small circles. looking good. |
