Default Project "Damien" Chevy truggy

My tax return project

After seeing this Nao/dave pack built f-350 Truggy from Joe (scooter racing) that 1BadJeepBruiser owns along time ago, I always wanted to build a truggy. This is one of the best truggy's I have ever seen on RCC before.

Just a few pics

The problem was, Im not a huge Ford fan. I have always had Chevys and love Chevys no matter what. Then I saw 2 more recent builds that inspired me to build a truggy again.

1st one is the one that exesivefire is building right now.

1.9 Silverado truggy..

2nd one is the one that TwistedXT is working on as well.

1.9 Dale Ernheardt Black Silverado SS Truggy

I want to give these guys props for building some awesome rigs, and by all means, I do not want to copy what they are doing. I have been researching for months now on pirate4x4.com, rccrawler.com, and google to find the perfect truggy that fits me and that is different than everyone elses. I have plans for this rig to make it different with subtle details to replicate a few 1:1 truggies that I have found. Thanks guys for inspiring me to build a truggy, and any comments, suggestions, or ideas are much appreciated.

Meet Damien the Demon Truggy

Parts list -

1 Hacked SS Silverado from spiderxx
5 RC4WD 1.9 Rock Crushers from www.RC4wd.com
5 HPI Black 1.9 rims from www.RPPHobby.com
RC4WD R2 tranny from www.RC4wd.com
TLT Axles

and plenty more good stuff to come from the CNC machine.....

Body off the chassis

And the bed chopped off

Stay tuned for more too come. Going to go and pick up some more tubing today after work and start on building the cage for it.

Got the frame rails done up. Got to run go and tack them up with the MIG welder and then I can start working on the tubing either tonight, or tomorrow.

Got some more work done today.

Ya, the welds are dirty but I got to get a file and some sand paper and clean up the joints, then it will look alot better.
Tomorrow and some more tubing, but getting closer.

Got a little more done, and had to mock it up to see how it looks and to see what the next steps are going to be to get some more progress on it.

Lemme know what you think.

Had a little bit of time at work today and cut out Damiens first unique piece to the truggy. This will be the first of many unique pieces on Damien. Hope you enjoy.
