| Samurai Duplicating a buddy's trail rig. 1987 Suzuki Samurai. Gonna even build in the underpower to it too. Gonna use a 360 size motor and just use two tranny's to gear it down. Probably gonna get some crap for that but oh well. Anyhoo, basically gonna be built just like the original with leaf springs and a blue hood, red frame and grill. Stay tuned... |

9 inches or so? That's cool, but it's really not even a Sami anymore.

Not much Sami left, but it is cool! Hey Joe after watching that trail run you just had to have a scaler, huh? I'ld go with the trail doc XL's instead of the stompers too. |

I like the performance of coils, but like the looks of leafs. Can I get leafs small enough to look scale on a 9in WB rig?

I think the only way would be to build them out of spring steel. One guy did it out of a lawn mower pull starter.

| looking good!! just remember for our trail comps and gtg, the coil sprung vehicles will be limited as to how much flex they can have by the best rti score of the leaf sprung trucks.

| I don't like the looks of the traction bars. I like the new frame a lot better tho. I started triming down the second trans (Pede trans) I don't know now if I want the 370 size motor. I got the front springs at work, welded on brake line for the bushings. |

Looks good so far. I'd be a little worried about the brass though. A good roll and your cage will look like a tangled mess. You ever thing about brazing up some brake line? I'm building something very similar. VMG tans and axles also |
