Did a little work tonight.

Got the Front axle blacked out a little. Probably going to hack the servo mounts off. Figure since its going to be scale I will need to mount the servo up and out of the way.

Here is the bed. Shortened it a small bit.

Threw the chassis together to get a look at the body on it. R2 2 speed should fit really good even with the old school interior.

Interior is really nice. Can't remember who I got it from, but it is detailed nicely.

Filled the body mount holes.

Was really disappointed about the rear glass, so I took it apon myself to fix it.

Thanks Sods...

Here is the back window finished and primed. Came out really nice. I hand cut the styrene to fit. Then I used some styrene glue to hold it in place. I then went back over the inside with some styrene goop I made. (styrene glue and small peices of styrene) makes a great holding formula. Used some spot body filler and then sanded.

The rear Hilux window fits perfectly in the cut out. Not sure if I will use it, as I ordered the clear Kamtec glass for this one.

Here are some build items that showed up. Thanks to RC4WD, and JP Customs. Got the shocks from my LHS.

Thanks!! how you been doing???

Got a liitle work done last night and tonight.

It is a roller!

The powerplant. Since I am using this motor I chose not to use the two speed. This thing pull wheelies as it sits.

Since the extra channel was open on the reciever (not using the two speed), I installed a winch.

Everythng is stuffed in there really well.

Today I received the clear glass from Kamtec.

Got the rest of the bed body work completed. I think it might be ready for some paint.

Added a fairlead to the front bumper so the winch line can come thru.

And here it is setting all mocked up. now its time to tear it all down and make the delrin links and fix any short cuts.

Next up on Doc Jeeps to buy list - a high lux. I am not a Yota fan by any means in the 1:1 world. BUt in a scale format these things are seriously growing on me. Great build!

How did you get the bobin to stay on the servo?

Not sure how he did it but I would think attaching it to one of the round servo arms that are given with every servo would do the trick...

I like how you keep the line going straight into/out of the the spool. Thats one of the problems I was running into on my build. I ended up ghetto fabbing a line stay using an antenna tube zip tied to a piece of steel. Looks horrible but it gets the job done, your's looks much better!
