Default Dove tailed and tubed Hilux.

This is the start of a long winded but hopefully very scale Hilux. So far I've cut out the doors, fitted a rear wall, modified the rear window and dove tailed the front end. I've also cut and shut the grill to give it a stock look. Once I got the chassis (probaly a K2-4) and T case I will start making the interior and tuber out rear end. But enough talk here's some pics of my work.

Look no door.

Every cab needs a back.

And modified grill for that factory look.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I cut the door out with a swan morton surgical blade in a rectractable holder.
I've been looking for a interior for this but no luck so I started to make my own. It's going to be right hand drive since this an english 4x4 and I may see is I can make a tacho and some other special dash parts. I'll get some pics posted up tomorrow when I've got a bit more done.

HI guys just though I would give you a little up date on this build. I've just ordered a couple of K2-4 chassis from TCS abd I'll be ordering an RC4WD T-case as well soon. Once I've got those bits I'll get a rolling chassis together and should be able to make a proper start on the interior. While I'm waiting for those parts to arive I'll be making the dash board and filling and sanding the body.

Ok so another update, I made a start on the interior, I've cut and shut an interior from a landrover and I think it looks good. I've also began work on the dash board and I'm just trying to find a place to put the dial pod.

Now I just need to decide whether or not I should cut the original seat out anmd use the buckets instead.

Yey I'm happy again despite spending lots of money I just had my bits fro RC4WD turn up only 6 days after ordering them . I didn't realize until the chassis turned up that I've got to drill the mounting holes for the skid and braces. But it's worked out quite well anyway because it needs t be narrowed anyway.

So here's my big ol pile of junk that will eventually be a truck. Progress would be a lot quicker but I haven't got a drill press at home so I can't get and of the important stuff done on this project. Tonight I'm planning on getting the interior a bit further along now I know how big the T-case is. I've also shaved the axles down a fitted a steering damper to the front, I'll post some pics of that latter.
