| 1.9" Yota Scaler #2
Well, I couldn't resist buying this one..!!!! Here she is all loaded up on the trailer, on the way back to the shop for the build-up..! I actually just picked up the complete chassis from a member on here (mxmhero) I added the wheels and body for mockup...Heres the parts rundown it has, and will be getting........ K2-5 Chassis Locked TLT axles ( rear with RCP straight axle adapter and axle truss) Aluminum front knuckles 1.9" Stompers on Tamiya Hummer rims Axial tranny Axial 4-Link bars 45 turn Integy motor Either this OG bruiser body, OR Hilux pick-up - Either way, It'll be a YOTA..!! ( haven't decided which one yet..!) Custom tube rock bumpers and sliders.. More Custom Aluminum work..... Since I SEEM to have a soft spot for the colors BLUE and RED, This one will be different..!!! I'm thinking mabey a dark Tan, or even Gunmetal Grey... what do you guys think..?... Stay Tuned..!!! Last edited by 51WillysJeep; 07-26-2008 at 07:39 PM. |

Hey Mike, Thats the same one..! I still have that other frame as well... So Basically, I still have enough SPARE parts to duplicate Another Hybrid that would be the same as whats sitting on the trailer in the first couple pics.... The truggy Idea is really growing on me now..!!!!!! I think its time to draw up some blueprints..!!!!! hhmmmm..................

I bought mxm's Yota body. I was going back and fourth on whether or not to buy the K2-5. I decided I wanted it a little bit to late. Oh well, it looks like it's in good hands. Just so you know, mine's getting tan paint. It will be going on a K2-5 as well. It's a perfect chassis for the Yota. Looking forward to your build. |

LOL, Yeah, I ALMOST didn't buy it.., but I am GLAD I did, and your right, Its in good hands..!! Still haven't decided on color yet.... After going thru my parts bins, I think I actually have enough to build 2 complete Yotas..!!! What about Building this one as a "Beater/Runner" with a full body, AND Also a Full out Truggy Crawler..!!! Ive got everything pictured in this thread to use, as well as an extra K2-3 chassis, a set of TLT axles, pede tranny, links , shocks,wheels/tires , and plenty of Yota bodys...........hhmmmm...........:mrgreen :

A truggy with an exocage on the front would be cool. The K2-5 is awesome for the Hilux body. It tucks up so nicely that none of the chassis is exposed underneath. It looks great and the clearance is nice, too. Last edited by onlyinajeepxj; 07-29-2008 at 01:17 PM. |
