Default jeep rubicon

Here is my second jeep.I made the chassis to follow that of a real jeep. got the body off of onlyinajeepxj here. This time i'm using bruiser axles that i narrowed and now allow the 12mm hex. I'm going to be running the axial tranny as well. don't know what color i'm going to paint it yet.

Just have the truck moked up for now. still need to figure the links out and make my shock and spring mounts.
More too come......

nice work D.
you'll have to bring it out to vasquez soon for some "testing". I took the forestry crew cab out today and gave it a proper 'break-in' (heavy on the 'break', lol)...

nice chassis. you going to make them available in limited numbers?

is there's a demand. i know that the bodies are hard to come by.this chassis is a tester one that i have. it'a a little different from the first one i made. i think vasquez will be a good testing ground ;) i'm painting the body right now

I notice the lower link mounts on the chassis rails stick out down from the rail. you might want to rethink that, either raising the hole, or lowering the bottom edge of the rail. Otherwise you risk catching it on a rock...

I guess if you're sliding it on the link, then hit the mounting point it wont catch, then slide on the bottom edge...should be fine I guess...we'll just have to see...

is it done yet?
next scaler gtg will be weekend of august 30/31 probably. not sure yet Corral or Vasques. You have a few weeks....lol.

You don't mess around, do you?

Those axles are hot, man.

Looks good so far. I'll be taking notes on this build for obvious reasons.

Keep posting pics!

here's a shot of my first rig. it shows the smoother bottom.

I also got to do a mok-up of the rear suspension. needs a little more adjustments.
