Default Making a comeback, Yota style...

well guys i'm trying to get back into the crawling scene. i have been away for a while feeding the need for speed. i have been keeping up to date with all the new developments in the rc community but just wasn't in the mood for crawling. well i couldn't stay away forever. so i decided to pick up a new hilux, with the help of mr. 1badjeepbruiser. thanks again mike. its been a blast so far and i can't wait to see whats next.

well to start off i bought a new hilux and slapped it together. woopdy doo just like everyone right, well thats when the tinkering began. i started tearing it apart and rebuilding with my own instructions and this is what i have come up with.

Going to include:
HL axles
r2 trans
msd beadlocks
rock stompers
bobbed, and modded hilux body
tlt shocks turned down(coil overs in the rear)
and a lot of custom fabrication

stock truck

not a bad truck at all but just couldn't leave well enough alone....

so what do yo think. i know its a lot for a first post but i think the 256K guys will forgive me. I will get some better pictures for sure tomorrow. we constructed a rock crawling course where i work a the HobbyTown USA in Mooresville, the whole interchangable plywood course, covered in foam and bedliner. thanks

thanks. it would get all the way up to the edge and as soon as the tires got there it would flip back. thats part of the reason i wanted to rebuild it. that and i wanted to ditch the huge 3-speed. well of to get some more photos.

Your MSD wheel hubs are they 1.9 or the 2.2 version?

They are 1.9s, I won them from MSD in the giveaway thread here on rcc. I had bought the wheels from Ben at scale nats and I told him to save the shipping and picked up the wheels nuts as well, when I was at scale nats.
