Default It will look like this

1969 Jeepster Commando. Only mine will be with a half cab hardtop.
This is an internet pic from Moab. Not my rig.

Are you going to make a new grill for it? If not... it will just be a JT.

Default Grill mods

Yes , I have the grill under the knife. It is a little large, but it's 1 to .0890 scale. So I was told by an expert. I don't know what a JK is, I am not a Jeep guy. I just sold my Jeepster last year and This is as close as I can find to making one. I will post the grill pics tomorrow.

Default Another pic of the jeepster

Another internet pic. of someone's rig on the rocks. I hope to be able to have the scale one look close to this.

Wow! I was a bit skeptical at first. I wasnt sure you'd be able to make a 2008 Unlimited 4 door look like a 69 Jeepster. Great job!

Only suggestion is to cut the two grill slats out and make like 5 or so skinnier ones out of styrene. Lookin really good, definitely gonna follow this one.

Default Hard work

I have cut many a real car up to make stuff. This is just a little bit smaller. Here are some updated pics of the first coat of primer. The homemade chassis fits very good.
A little more sanding and then I think it's time to let the body sit for awhile and let the paint and putty dry for a week or so.
I will work on the chassis in the next few days to see how it will go together. I would like to widen the chassis in the rear alittle instead of it being straight in line from the front to back. If I bend it some from the skid plate back I think it will be good to go.

You need to extend your slots up to the top of the headlights like they are on this one.

Default Body done pics.

I like having stuff no one else does. It will be a limited use rig, but it will get a little scratched up. It's not an exact scale replica, but close enough for me.:-P
I think I need a taller tire. The ones in the pic are 1.9 prowlers
