Default my first scaler build

hey guys this is my first crawler i have ever had.. i have been into rc racing for about 2-3 years now but my friend just got me into crawling..
i traded a electric rustler for this 1.9 scaler. it was a pretty good trade since i never drove the rusty. well anyways
here are pics

front and rear lights

mock up body not mounted yet (it will sit as low as it can go)

tlt axels

one pinion came broken (only thing wrong with the truck

specs
l trail chassis
custom derlin center peices
stealth tranny locked
wheelie king shafts
tlt axles locked
1.9 rc4wd creeper tires
hpi stock car rims
hyper 7 aluminum link mounts
custom links/revo links
tower hobbies servo

im having problems making the wheelie king shafts work with the bevel gears. the bevel gear doesnt have a hole in it, only a flat spot. i dont want to drill a whole because the shaft is so tiny, and also there is no possible way i see that i can make it exacty in the middle. the only way i see this can be done is if i find some steel or aluminum yokes that can use a set screw. any help please?
thanks

more updates soon

WK shafts are 6mm for one thing. You'd be better off getting some stock AX10 shafts or long Stampede shafts as they are ment to be used with 5mm yoke ends.♦

Was your friend drunk when he made the trade? Lmao

You scored!!!!!!!

Get ax10 driveshafts man. They suck for the ultimate crawler. But they will last the life of the truck on a scaler/trail truck..........

thanks for the input guys..

jones- it wasn't my friend it was some dude from another forum. but the rusty was brushless.. but the fact that i only spent 150$ on it is a super deal. that's why i don't really want to make a big deal on the pinion gear..

i will buy 2 of the hardened steel ones but it should still be the same size right?

update

installed the electronics and a 55 turn lathe motor.

more pics and mandatory flex shots
rear link mount

not a big fan of front link mount and servo setup (it has only a lil bit of steering, i would like it to be max)

lights!

looks like a good trade. try running the servo link over to the other steering arm it will give you a longer link and allow for more throw

update
got the body mounted.

had to modify the seat a lil bit so now the tranny sits as a passenger

made the 2 front links like the rear

then got the servo problem fixed. (steering is much better)
i switched the servo so it is higher for less bind and more flex

then grinded the red off of the stterin link and made the smaller link to match

hows the build lookin?

welp i was playing around with the front shocks and the plastic shock bodies didnt so it for me.. they were not smooth at all.. the rear ones have aluminum bodies and they were ultra smooth! so i looked around and i find the exact traxxas bodies that are on the rears.. so i took them apart and rebuild them

now they are just as smooth as the rears!

hey do you guys think that if i make a roof rack with only 2 fake lights that it would go well with the body. im also thinking of giving it a bumper and maybe a servo winch. what do you guys think?

sure will.. i just need to find a place where to get some scale items since im not really lloking to spend 15$ on 3 parts. otherwise i will be starting on the roof rack and bumper (already started). so i should have pics in a couple of hours as far as the winch goes i currently dont have a servo so that will be put on hold. and does anyone know where to get a winch hook and guide?something like this-
