| jeep wrangler "el diablo"
yes, i know what youre thinking, another xc wrangler. but truth be known, until recently i havent had much experience with custom chassis work. i am working on a live axle jeep at the moment though, and hope it doesnt dissapoint. i have always mostly done scale detail work on bodies. i left this one mostly stock, more for the look of it, especially because i liked the way the awesome alloys wheels and the bfg's fit the wells. i made the rack out of brass stock, the winch is don jarr's,slightly modified, the brush guard is the top of the xc stock bumper cut up, copper wire for the cable and some hooks made from scrap alumium bits. the rear bumper is from a toyota hilux that i sectioned, tailpipe is painted brass and dummy gas tank made from a lexan cake box from the supermarket. brass pipe and cake box lid painted flat black for the gas tank. soldered brass rack, came out much better than my first one on queso. was originally going with these wheels and tires. That looks just fantastic, I swear people would think that's a real Jeep if it weren't on an RC forum. Now you just need to get a bird or something to land next to it for the monster movie shot. |

Wow, I was looking at this thinking to myself, why is this guy posting a real YJ... then I saw that the YJ didn't have leaf springs... so I got pretty interested (being the jeep guy that I am)... then I realized that it was an rc jeep. This thing is nice.

looks great as always 7point2... only thing I'd suggest is making a more scale looking hilift jack. |

The BF wheels look really good on there. Did you make the license plate by using a piece of styrene and paint? Dynodan22 |
