Default 1.9 SAS Toyota 4Runner

On Monday night, I was down in the basement web wheeling and had nothing that I could work on...I know...sounds crazy. XJ needs paint work and its to damn cold, had no styrene for the Sammy interior. Atomic Toy....need to figure out rear shock mounts, and just wasnt in the mood. So I decided to whip together this truck. Had the body for well over a year now, probably almost two, and I have had two spare Bruiser frames just chillin.

Specs so far are:
Kyosho 4Runner body
Power coated Bruiser chassis
Bruiser leafs, chino modded
Dinky leaf mounts
CAC NBL 2.0 BAMF wheels
Pro-Line 1.9 flat irons
RCP Crawlers chino skid
Traxxas 4 links
MSD powder coated axle truss
TLT axles w/bearings, Fat Rock Cs, high rise clearance black knuckles, RC4WD straight axle adapters
RC4WD 90mm scale coil overs
Juggsterr rear shock mount
wideners on front

Have:
hitec 645 servo
Integy 45 turn lathe
built good to go Pede trans
Juggsterr front shock mounts
turned down tlt shocks
shock boots

Need:
Hub wheel but covers
ESC
small tamiya body mount clips
Harris safety silv 56 (on order)
Lexan
front rotors

To do:
Inner fender wells
finish rear drum brakes
Strip chrome off mirrors, rear bumper, front bumper
Chop front bumper
Build simple prerunner bar
Build Rock sliders
install front shocks and mounts
Install electronics
Run it....

Next to the OG SAS 4runner

nice use for the old kyosho body and very scale looking compared to the other 4runner in the last pic. i like the fact that it is on the bruiser chassis and is a Toyota. does nobody read anymore the wheel and body are listed on the spec sheet on the top of the page

No kidding.

That would probably be the only Toy body I would run. My parents had a brand '94 4Runner when they came out, and I loved that thing.

Nice scrapes build BoyBand. I really like the look of it, but those body posts sticking out KILL IT. Wheels are big pimpin' though.

Oh and who did you have to suck off to get those Proline 1.9 Flat Irons already?

Indeed it will be my harris safety silv was on the front porch when I got home from work, so 2morrow after the bike shop I plan on banging out some sliders for this.

you might need more then 10 minutes, there is a lot of stuff there, a lot of which isnt visable

I like the wheels as far as the body mounts go, the holes were already there...not much I could do about that. The ones in the hood wont be so noticeable once the flat black gets laid on it

I did no such sucking off...it was all in the pre-order from RPP...They are sweet, wish I had ordered more.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys

I was bored yesterday but it was cold, so I thought about working on the sammy but I really wanted to try and get the 4runner going. So I headed out into the garage and stole the propane tank from the barbecue for the heater and fired it up.

2 hours later, rock sliders were built

I also stripped the chrome off the mirrors and and flat blacked the hood

I went to the hobby shop to get screws needed to mount the pede trans but they didnt have any so getting it running didnt quite work out. Ill order the screws this week and try again next weekend.

Thanks for looking
Mike
