Default my first toyota build!!!

well i finally got started on my Toyota build. take in mind that this is my first time
building a scale rig so it wont be the quality you guys are used to seeing.
but any ways here is what i have so far....
axial axles
axial trans
novak goat crawler system
night crawler customs trail chassis (widened 1/2" to fit axial axles)
tires and wheels yet to be purchased.
started with the arrival of the cab, bed! wont be using the bed though~

got the cab back in.. THANKS KEATWO

the chassis from night crawler customs. (widened 1/2")

when i mounted the axles and tranny i found that the drive shaft angles
were way way way too steep so i had to make a new tranny mount.

and the new one i made!

i started the hard part, brazing the rear cage! here are a couple pics of
what i have so far. this is my first time brazing so its not the best.
i hope to get better as i get futher into the build.

well thats what i have for now! any comments and suggestions would be
great! thanks for lookin!

I like it, your tubework all looks very nice. My biggest fear of starting in that area is getting stuff lopsided and what not but yours is pretty damn perfect.

I think if you really want to copy your 1.1 you really need to think about updatin those 2.2's to 1.9's! Cheers mate.

well got a little more done this morning while at work.. ( but don't tell zukman since he is my boss)....
i cut out some more pieces for my cage, i hope to get them brazed in this weekend!!

and one with them balancing on the cage.

after looking at it for several hours it is not completely square but close enough for a first try! i hope to do better on the next one!

For you first time brazing it looks great, I have tried many times and still can't do it. I'm just glad I have a welder.

well i got bored last night at work and decided to cut up the hilux bed i have. i am going to attempt to bob it.. i took out 1.200" i have never done any type of body work so we will see how it turns out.. even though i am not going to use this bed on this build i thought it was worth a shot???

here is what i plan on cutting out..

this is how it looks after i cut and trimmed it a little. i left a little tab on the back half to fill in the hole in the bed. i will post more pics as i go along..
