Default Throwing a Defender together!

This is only the beginning of this build. I still have a bunch to do. Just got motivated when the Beuwolf front axle was completed. I really hope we can talk RC4WD into making the internals and selling these as complete axles.

Had a freind on Scale and RCC build the rack for the body.

Had another freind from RCC powdercoat the rack.

I also painted things a little.

Did some interior work.

Now I need 5 landy 1.9's and another Mud Thrasher. This should make the truck.

Working on emblems from Scale Offroad. These are a work of art.

I will probably shorten a K2-5 chassis for now. Need something with a low belly since I am using the full interior. Might have to use a Killer Transfer case too.

I didn't do that good of a job putting these emblems on, but they sure make up for my mounting ability. Stefan from Scale Offroad does some great work.

thats quite the texture you have on the tube work.

Looks great. Beowolf axle? you going to run this on a XC running gear/rear axle?

Just going to use the Beowulf front and rear axle. No XC here. Haven't decided on a chassis just yet.

New wheels and tires.

Okay...so I got the Bruiser waterproofed and working so so. Needs a little tweeking, but onto the next thing.

Since the my Beuwolf axles went off to have some cool features, I got a set of Rex 44 axles instead. I really like them too. Perfect width for this build.

T-Rex 44 Front Axle
T-Rex 44 Rear Axle

So the chassis is a Reign RC chassis. It fits perfect in the Defender. I just had to cut the interior a little to get it to set in there real low. I narrowed it a great deal for my situation.

Okay..you remember this.

Besides just the cool axles, I went for a few more RC4WD goodies. I can't hold myself back. The American Express bill is killing me.

I picked up a Disruptor Transmission, a Killer Transfer case, some 80 mm Dual Spring shocks, and some nice rod ends.

Top side of the chassis with the Disruptor, and killer transfer case mounted.

Bottom side

Killer Transfer case
Disruptor planetary transmission

Like I said, I had to cut the bottom of the interior. I'll just use some styrene to fix that. ;) This allowed for the chassis to fit under the body much better. This will also allow the truck to have a better scale stance.

So now you saw my great cutting skillz. Here is how the chassis fits inside.

Front fits great

Rear too.

I had these nice mounts. They came with a chassis from RC4WD, had them left over so they should look and work great on this project.

Here is the rear axle.

The dual rate shocks.

Did I mention the cool scale rod ends.

Here is a shot of the shock mount against the chassis.

Check out the axle width. SWEET!!

Hopefully it looks something like this when its all done.

This thing is coming together rather well. Nice and clean, Ilike the way the chasis sets low in the body. Can not wait to see more pics of this rig in action.

A few more progress photos.

Its a roller

The Disruptor tranny and killer transfer case just give it such a clean look.

The scale rod ends look great.

Sitting all together.

Everyone knows you have to have a flex shot.
