Default fj 40 leafer exo cage pics

Well this project I got as a roller and have taken it on the first test drive. I always wanted a 1.9 leafer and love the fj so when a 11" wb chassis came along I went for it. I got a tamiya fj body that got damaged allittle in transport so it's not perfect but later on I will upgdade and do a nice paint job instead of a quicky. I'm unsure of who make the chassis but I like the design and mount for everrything from the shocks to the servo mount. It uses delrin leafs with tlt axles. 55 turn with a hpi esc and a 2s 2500 lipo. I did a mild exo cage to protect the body and will be adding a hoop off the roof rack to protect the top sides of the body aswell. I did a flip down tire carrier and I'm waiting for my spare crusher to show to put it back there. I made the rack allittle big incase someday I run small 2.2 on it. I will be adding lights to the roof rack, winch to front bumper and interior aswell I will have the headlights and taillights in it this weekend. Well I'm still learning but the best way is by doing and hopefully my quality will keep goig up. Let me know what you think and I will keep you updated.

Default fj40

I first crawled in one of my freinds in 1986 with a stock one and the places we could go in that with just better tires was awsome and my freind still has is but it is far from stock now and he rolls it a few times a weekend. That were my first attraction to them came from.

Default updates

Well I got a crusher as a spare now which looks way better and added a tower pro 995mg servo which is great and plenty for a 1.9 rig. I also put in a 35 turn in place of the 55 turn which is nice and I lowereed the pinion from a 16 to a 12 but it still has tons of power and wheel speed. Will have pics and hopefully vids soon.

I look forward to seeing the outdoor pics?

I know you said you were unsure of who made the chassis but i was wondering if we could see some body off shots?

I've been thinking of changing my spare tire holder from this

to something like yours. I like the idea of a flip down rack.
