Default YJ with a SCX twist!

Was going to start a build thread of this but my camera stopped working when I started. Got some pics of the Rig as of now though. I took a SCX kit and cut the frame down and welded it back together to make it fit under a tamiya YJ body. I Still have to paint the chassis and build a rear bumper. I will get some chassis shots in the next few days posted up. Let me know what you think so far.

Yea I thought about that but I have a buddy that has a TJ has tube fenders and is cut out the same and the flare ended just about the same length. Would have made it longer but it is the stock flares just cut up.

If you did some tube work around that rear fender, I think you can make it look normal. I think it doesn't look to bad as is. Very Nice.... You have be double thinking one of my builds now.

Looks great ,
but yea the rear flare could be changed, a bit of body work or take the front and rear flares off alltogether and replace them with some rubber that way it can go all the way to the back.
Love the sliders, and the overall length is spot on

Lookin sweet chad! I like the cut wheelwells. If you do the rear bumper like on ur 1:1 you can tie that into the wheelwell like you did the front just a thought.

How much of the SCX frame did you have to cut out. I really like the look of your YJ. It's got me rethinking my current project.

Very nice work! I would just hack off both front and rear fenders and bend up some tube ones
