I'm running an XL-5 (waterproof) and a 27T silver can motor from a wheely king in my SCX-10 with 87/14 gearing. Decent wheel speed (7.2v) but will still crawls nice and slow.

Novak Roster Crawler brushed ESC Novak 45T brushed motor 20T pinion Has plenty of torque and trail speed with out blowing up grears and drive shafts. |
