Default My Ford F-350 Crew-Cab Dually

Hi guys,

i want to introduce you my F-350 project.
I hope my english is ok for you to understand.

Two years ago i planned to built an F-350 Crew-Cab with Dually Wheels.
I donīt spend so much time to this project, so it isnīt finish yet, but i think there are already some pictures to show.

I started to make the Crew-Cab, using two Tamiya F-350 bodies.
It took much time for me to put them together, especially the sanding
But now i think itīs ok.
Here are some pictures to show you how i did it.

I have a scale chassis for use with leaf springs from DiazDesigns, but it was to short for the F-350. So i made a new chassis in CAD, which has the correct wheelbase.
As axles i use TLT-1 axles, RC4WD leaf springs, RC4WD scale shocks and RC4WD punisher shafts.
First i tried the R2 tranny, but it was to slow, so i took a E-Maxx 2 speed tranny together with a LRP Truckpuller 2. Thatīs perfect!
I put things together, just for trying, so donīt worry about the mounting of the electronics.

I have some 1.9 MudSlingers and tried to use them. But the design was to aggressiv for a scaler, especially for a dually. But iīve already made a dually wheel from three HPI Vintage wheels.
Here are two pictures.

But thanks to Mike an Erin from RC4WD i got some Double Trouble Dually Wheels and use them together with the 1.9 Dirt Grabbers.

Here are some pics from today.

My next step will be to try how to mount the body and the bed.
So i can see how wide i have to make the rear fenders.

I hope you like it so far.
I will post more pictures when i find some time to work on this project again.

Greetings from Germany
Florian

Hi Florian, your F350 is very beautyful as the chassis you have drawn Put two aluminum axles and it will be perfect

Thanks guys!
Iīll will try to do some more work this week.

Perhaps one of the next steps is to design a new front bumper, because i want to use my 3racing winch. So i need a bumper which is mounted directly to the chassis, not to the plastic body.

Do you have some ideas where i can get some inspirations/pictures?

@LOSIASSOCIATED
Great Pickup!!!
How do you make your rear fenders?
That will be my next step and i really have no idea how to start ;)

@obsession4x4
Yeah, aluminium axles would be great. I like the RC4WD D35/D40 axles.
But first i have to finish my Pickup. If all things work like i want, i can do some fine tuning

When this project is finished, iīll gonna make a trailer.
Then i need a really cool crawler, perhaps a tube chassis.

Hey Infi75,
I thought you would like my truck. The rear fenders are from a older black foot body.I cut them off taped them on temp and figured out how they will work. Also if need to look around in Scale4X4.com their is a few guys that make them and sell them.
Seeya and have fun.
