Default Bowler Wildcat

This is not the first Wildcat build on here. If you don't know the Wildcat here is a video that most of you seen.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLvlfAyduvA

Here is the body that I order from England on eBay next to my X-trail for a comparison. This body comes with the spoiler now and either as Lexan or ABS like the one I purchased.

Goals:
  • MSD Ute Chassis
  • Cobalt
  • RC4WD Black Widow Axles
  • Flip up trunk for the two spare tires
  • 1.9 Scale Rims (Don't Have Any Ideas)
  • Lights
  • Interior
  • Servo Winch
  • Driver and Co Driver
Here are some photos of the truck. If you have any ideas on how to tackle any part of this project please feel free to comment.

Does any body have experience with RC Channel products?
There rims do not use hexes. Their rims look real close to the 1:1

I built one a little while ago around a CC-01. It's one of my favorite rigs to drive for sure Looks like yours should turn out great.

I don't have any experience with the wheels but,if you decide to get them,RPP has them here.Would probably save you some money on the shipping and have them alot sooner. If I remember correctly,RCChannels shipping is about $25.00.Hope this helps.

Why, thank you

I couldn't find the exact wheels I used, I've found the exact same shape but in white.

It's been a while, so I can't remember a part # or the model they came off. The Mustang Cobra R had the chrome ones and I think the Tamiya Xanavi Nismo GT-R had the same design wheel but in black. No clue whether the gray one was ever used on a kit. If you're set on getting the anthracite wheels, getting the white ones and painting them will not be a bad solution.

Good luck with your build

BTW, Wildcats are no longer Bowlers since Bowler has moved on to the Nemesis. Qt has the rights to the Wildcats now. http://www.qtservices.co.uk/Wildcat.asp

I've looked all over for an axle pic and I couldn't find anything, are you sure the Black Widows are close enough to the 1:1 to be worth $300?

I'm not sure about the black widows being the most scale option. Most baja trucks use axles that look like that, but maybe rc4wd toyota axles would be better since they kinda of look like ford axles. I am most worried about width since the body is so small. You can see the shape of the diff in this picture which leans towards those yota axles. i am too looking for more pics hopefully we can find some more

i dont have any experiance either with these wheels but looking at this pic that you posted

id have to go with the new rc4wd wheels (going off the two center pics)

Wheel width 20mm/0.78 inches
12mm hex mount
Fit 1.9" size tires
Backspacing xx inches
Each wheel weight: xx
Black powder coated
Negative Offset xx inches

hi,
just wondering if you've ever brought the project any further? I've just started to build my own Bowler on a SCX but I'm not sure which tires to take. Most 1.9 are way to big for the body and whith smaller tires I might loose any ground clearance.
