| Uh oh!! another scratch willys!!
Some of you may remember my willys pickup I made. Looks like I get bit again but this time it's going to be the wagon version. I'll keep you updated! 51willysjeep now owns this one and he will be the new owner of this one as well! Last edited by F-150Highlift; 10-27-2009 at 06:58 PM. Reason: oops |

Yes, Its true - Jeff is building this Willys for me and I couldn't be happier . We've talked back and forth for a while on the wagon subject and It made my day when he said he would finally be building it..!! It will be ANOTHER true work of art from him - If it comes out half as good as the Willys Pick-up, I'll be more than thrilled.. ( but we ALL know it will be as good if NOT better..!! )

You wanna be careful scratching ur willy like that, it might get infected. And on a less childish thought. That looks wicked and I can't wait to see how it turns out. I loved the first build and I'm sure this'll be even better. |

This one I am paying more attention to. I kept all my scale drawings of the original so this should match my first very very closely. Grill will be more realistic. Also the rear hatch on this has to be perfect. I know there was a square rear wheel version of the wagon but the rounded rear wheel is more old school like me. Next is my personal 57 ford F-100. That's a bit away though. 51willysjeep, ok so far?

I always start off building one side, then checking it to my drawings and seeing if things are close. I then build a subframe for the body following what curves and dimesnsions I need. At this point, not much but got all the numbers I need to start hacking away. (Also changed the rear wheel wells to the later year wagon, more squared off, per the owner).. .........AND my drink of choice! more photos to come! |

"Eff" ME huh......??? nice...... Dude... Your a frickin' DONKEY - yj BOY..!!!! Now that-thats out of the way.... I wanted this wagon body to closely resemble the pickup I already own ( that he already made) with the squared off rear wheel wells. ( which I personally like better..) And a big "Thank-You" to Jeff for changing it for me before it was too far along in the build to really take care of..

| I always liked that body style
Glued to this build, looking sweet so far. Nothing like PBR and styrene to pass the evening.

I was just playin with ya man. IMO the Willys truck he built (that you own) is the best scratch built body ever. His work is so awesome it doesn't matter what shape the fender openings are it's gonna be SWEET!!!

LOL- I know man, and I was "just" playin' back - Its all good.. Yes, I totally agree that the Willys Pickup I already own of his is 1000% a work of ART, Thats the only way to describe it.. I honestly hadn't realized that the earlier wagons had rounded rear wheel wells. I always assumed they were squared off ( which is what I wanted). So I asked him to change it ( since he wasn't too far along as of yet) and he hooked me up..! I can hardly wait to see how BAD-ASS this Willys Wagon comes out..!! Heres a few more teasers of the Willys pick-up that might not have been seen by others on here

Awesome pics Chris. I am so glad that the truck survived the bumpy road to you and you have left it how I intended it. It will get it's road rash in time. Gotta keep driving it! Ok, back to work!

Awesome! My Dad has the last year of the Willy's Utility Wagon, early '64. Later that summer they introduced the Wagoneer. I've tried for years to get it from him but he keeps holding on to it.
