Unibody was in 61 up, these are the 57-60 trucks. I think a 61 f-100 would be sweet too, maybe the next one I do, thanks. I did get the other door done tonight when I got home. I'll post up some pics when I can.

Hey guys, this is where I am at tonight. I got both the doors and he fenders pretty much roughed in. Time to go on. This truck is tricky, when I look at how wide it should be for scale purposes, it looks too wide, if I make it a tad narrower, it looks right so........drawing board and picture time. I am going to keep at it and keep picks of what is too come. Starting to look like a miniature junkyard! Later gents. Last edited by F-150Highlift; 01-29-2010 at 08:24 AM. |

Looking GREAT so far Jeff..! I agree, that you should do the body as scale as possible, and if that means a tad narrower than what you think it should be for the chassis, than so be it..!

Yike Jeff, this will be a cool build! I had a 65 Ford stepside short bed for a little while, but didn't see the coolness in it when I was a teen driver....now I kick myself for not keeping it or my 72 commando!!! Hindsight is 20/20 You should write a book on styrene sculpting! |

Got a little more done tonight. I am going to take a break for a few days I think though and get some stuff done around the house. I did want to show you some updates though so here they are. The back of the cab is roughed in and the doors and fenders are hung. I thought about making the doors open but I want it to take some abuse so I decided just an opening hood. The tranny is getting put on the shelf for an R2 from 51willysjeep (Chris). This should be pretty much where it's going to sit so you get a good idea of what it should look like. More to come.... I will post up some pics of the back sides so you can see how I do it. The door skin is actually two pieces. Color is going to be two tone, either yellow and white or red and white. Thanks for the compliments guys.
