| Subaru Brat build
There aren't too many Brat builds so here goes. The goods so far.... 1. MRC Tranny & axles 2. MRC ESC, radio and motor 3. Losi threaded shock set 4. Work XSA 26mm wheels w/ 9mm offset. 5. Custom designed frame Modded the front axles from the followng link. Modding stock MRC for increased steering throw Inatead of the usual beadlock wheels, I went with these 9mm offset wheels from Horizon Hobby. I was unaware of how they would fit on the axle and beneath the body but luckily, 9mm was the right choice. Outside of rim to outside of opposite rim measures 6-7/8" I drew the chassis on CAD and transfered a print to the chassis rails, which were 1/8" aluminum Flat Bar. I marked the template and cut with basic tools and a dremel. Frame rails cut, matched and the MRC tranny mounted between with a piece of 1/4" delrin. |

I'm a bit partial to Brats. Love it so far. Lots of potential. Nice Blingin' wheels. |

This build has a great start to it. When you get time post some more details of the rig. can not wait to see this thing evolve.

Looks good so far, interested in seeing it threw. What basic tools did you use to cut your chassi? I only have basic house tools but would like to try this some day.. |

Subscribed for sure! I am building something similar. I used Integy 5 spoke wheels and 10mm offset adapters and have the perfect width for the body I am using (2001 newbright dodge ram). I haven't got to the point of setting up my steering or driveshafts yet. I'll be interested to see how you tackle those. |
