| Project SOCOM: Dorkstar Belly Dragger TJ
I finally got my hands on a TJ body. I wanted to get a YJ body and swap in some round headlights. But for the same price I found this with full interior and fold down windsheild. Specs are: Custom chassis and cage R2D with Titan motor Hilux axles Mama max and Castle BEC Jato Shafts 1.9 Flatirons Hitec 5955 Behind the axle steering 3 link front 4 link rear Olive Drab Paint Hilux headlight swap Highline Fenders Goal is to make it look like my 1:1 Last edited by CRF450R; 02-21-2010 at 08:40 AM. |

Yeah no more Yota. I was hoping the TJ body would work with that chassis. It was not even close to fitting. This is a hard body to work with. There is not much room to fit the tranny and keep it low. Played around with a couple different fenders. This is the one I decided on. |

I had to chop a hole in the floor to tuck the tranny in. I will cut the passenger seat to make a cover.

Shouldn't you be in the garage working on the 1:1 and not playing with toy trucks? Looks good wish had some time to play with my toy trucks.

Here is the truss I'm working on. Its made from the poison spyder booty. Already chopped the rear frame off. I need to narrow it to clear the airshocks. Then all need is some link material and I can hang the 14B Last edited by CRF450R; 01-11-2010 at 08:12 AM. | |

I love it. This is going to be a sweet project. Those tube front fenders are perfect!

Looks a bit like a guy i knows jeep: Nice work so far! I actually tried to build a replica of the blue jeep. If you look on pirate 4x4 its name is "Slinky Blue Ballz" Last edited by Colby; 11-29-2009 at 05:57 PM. |

I cut bigger holes in the grill to fit Hilux lenses. I'll fill them with LEDs later. Also hacked up the Hilux chassis and mounted the tranny. |
