| RC4WD Trialfinder Jeep Wrangler
Awesome scale chassis. Only modified the suspension (it was way too stiff for my taste) with softer springs, leafs and steel shooter schackles. Also fitted u-bolts that allowed to strech the wheelbase in a very easy way. Body: Well Tamiya wrangler of course (great detail, and fits the chassis ... after modifying the wheelbase). No more talking. Here are the pictures. Still need to paint the details and get it out on the rocks. Will post more pics when it get there |

looks like extended the front wheel base too much they look too far forward to me, but other than that it all looks great!

Looks good. Did you use PL400 to hold the tubing to the fenders? |

Thanks for all your nice words. I agree that the front wheels are a bit too far ahead of the body. But I kind of like the look.

RC4WD - but from personal experience I'd advise against them. They look 10 times better than they perform. They stick at full extension and feel notchy. If you zip-tie the boots it makes them feel even worse, if you leave them loose they end up pushed halfway up the shock body inside of 2 minutes. They don't leak quite as bad as some of the plastic kit shocks I've used, but almost. Great shocks for a shelf queen, they are cool looking. If you still want a set PM me. Black with yellow boots just like in the pics above, but no scale stickers though. KeddeX is using them with leafs though, so I'm assuming he removed the internal springs and is using them just as a damper. In this role they would undoubtedly perform much better. Nice job with the Tamiya body. The fender treatment looks good. And where did you find the mini Miller sticker? Last edited by Big Mike; 12-17-2009 at 01:03 PM.
