| Project Hillbilly deluxxx , short bed clod junker NOW WITH RUST !
Most of you guys may have seen my other clod body build , Well I just got another one I threw this together in a couple hours today from a bunck of stuff you guys may have seen in the for sale section . This will not be a "pretty" truck like my other clod project . This will be a truck that will tumble down a cliff with out me crying . To start off , here are a few picks of it playing in the snow . PS , it only had 3 wheel drive and was still crawling like a champ ! This is the body I started with . Not out of the box for 10 minutes and I was already cutting. Some snow fun . Future plans may include , but are not limited to , a full interior , back window full of racing parts stickers , crawler inspired tube chassis , rebal flag licence plate , led kit (for some late night fun) scale shot gun , and many more things of that sort . Oh here is a pic of it with my other project . Last edited by 86 Iroc; 01-05-2011 at 06:38 PM. |

That looks like a lot of fun. My son thinks you need a snow blade.

The skids on the chassis I'd derlin, the chasasis itself is uhmp plastic. Little more flex that I like but bracing it helped a lot.

Ok so I traded 88gmchog my losi micro for this rig (minus the body) and he said go with the aluminum chassis that came along with the trade . I figured I didnt want to get too deep into this and decided to just stick with the plastic chassis . But again being me I dont listen to anyone including myself so I decided to switch chassis . The aluminum one needs a lil cosmetic work but so far it is much better then the plastic one . Here are a few pics . I plan on cleaning it up , like getting rid of all the vise marks and sharp edges . So far so good . Stay tuned . |

idk if you noticed that the skids are different widths but the ones on the plastic chassis are the ones you want to use. the wide ones cause the tires to hit the frame thats y i cut a set down to stock width.

| Yes I noticed . I made a few of my own skids that fit the aluminum chassis so every thing clears . No rubbing at all .

Here is an update . I transfered as much stuff as I could over to the aluminum chassis . Had to mod and make a lot of new stuff though . Here is a few pics of the chassis . It is for the most part done . Will be mating it with the body as soon as I do a little work to it . This thing has MAD flex . It has no bump or flex steer at all either which I am very surprised . Here you can see where I had to cut out the centers of the shock mounts so the shocks dont rub . They fit right in there perfectly with no rubbing . Now for a few flex shots I think this is pretty good for a scaler. Now off to work on the body. |

| Ya you had a great set up . Worked out great . I just love the aluminum . I sanded it down and made it all smooth and nice-er looking . Could not stand the sharp edges and vise marks.
