Question F350 3 speed to single speed conversion, tips/ideas needed please

As per the title really. I have a stock F350 that is sitting doing nothing and I'm thinking about 4 linking it and converting to single speed with a brushless crawler setup. Is there any way of converting to single speed for someone who has little/no access to engineering or machining equipment.

Thanks in advance

Yes, replace the 3 speed with an RC4WD R2 tranny. If you dont want to spend money you could just leave it in one gear.

Have you thought about the RC4WD Rapture chassis, shooter shackles and T-Box combo set-up? These seem to work really sweet plus you get to keep the 3 speed (this what makes these rides so cool) and improve performance.

Thanks for the replies guys. The RC4WD RC2 tranny looks like a good option. Will go and check the dimensions to see how hard it will be to fit in the F-350 chassis rails.

R2 has multiple mounting holes for horizontal or vertical mounting.
Chances are you are going to need to fab a skid for it.

This is where I hit a wall as I have not got access to fabricating equipment. Hmmm, will measure up and see just what needs to be done in any case.
Thanks

REALLY dont suppose you have any pics? Interested to see how it all looks?

Is it possible to buy the Wheelyking tranny separately?

Thanks for the heads up one that one.

I had an F350 recently that I purchased as a project that was never completed... it had a wheely king transmission in it which I pulled and replaced with an original 3 speed. So it fits perfect due to the orientation of it. I would think the R2 tranny would fit as well, but it would have to be mounted sideways. Need to check my parts box, but I think I still have it.

Working the R2D into a Hi Lift

See the little blue thing on the side of the trans sandwiched between the frame rail? Little L shape plastic piece with counter sunk screws hold the blue thing to the trans, then two more countersunk screws go through the frame rail. Really simple, and easy to understand if you have it all in front of you.
