Default '73 Bronco by Mattzilla

I had the opportunity to purchase a chassis and body built by Mattzilla. I am the second owner but will be the first to get it out on the rocks. The truck arrived as a runner, minus receiver. I must say this is one nicely built rig.

Here is a link to the original build thread for the chassis and body, http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/1-9-s...73-bronco.html

The first thing I did was tear it down and replace some of the parts with parts I had on hand for mock up purposes. I changed the shocks to RC4WD Ultimate Scale shocks. I changed the wheels and tires to 1.9 CAC 12 Holes and 1.9 Pit Bull Beasts. The truck came with 3 linked front and rear axles. I changed the rear axle to a 4 link. For now, the truck has Axial AX-10 axles. I am considering changing them out to something more scale. I also stuck in a Wraith interior for fitment. It would require some modding so I may just make a scratch-built styrene interior.

The following is what I have planned to use on the "wild horse":
1.9 CAC 12 Hole wheels
1.9 Pit Bull Beasts tires
4 linked rear
CLAW V2 winch
Holmes Hobbies BRXL speed controller
Scratch-built interior
Gear Head LED light bar
Gmade XD Piggyback 93mm shocks
MIP drive shafts
Scale Offroad Bronco emblem set

Ok, enough of the build talk; on to the pics.

Here is a pic from Mattzilla of the finished chassis and trimmed body.

Here are pictures of how it arrived. I had removed the transmission before I took these pics.

Here are pictures with the body on and Wraith interior stuck in.

Here are pictures with the body with the top on.

Here are pictures of the truck with the parts I had on hand mocked up.

Nice score! I don't think I caught it the first time around. Lue's chassis' are just pornographic! Can't wait to see it built up.

Yes, I will be doing an interior. It appears it will have to be scratch built since the lexan Wraith interior will not work.

I like how the light is inside the body, never thought of doing that. Looking forward to more of this build

Since the top is removable, I decided to mount the light inside so it would be protected and not effect the top.

Well I decided to change out the Axial AX-10 axles for the RC4WD K-44s I had on my Hilux rig. I must say they do look nice under there. I also got the floor of the interior fabricated and installed for fitment.

Well I love black. So I'd say go with that. But red, blue and silver would all be good choices IMO. I think you should go with red and get some black rims. I've always loved the contrast of those two colors
