I have had the white with black hood before. I also already have a red with black tubework rig. I am looking for a different color combo.

I ended up using the transmission tunnel from the Wraith interior with a soon to be scratch built dash. The seats will require some trimming to fit properly. I will get the interior completed before I cut the seats. You know that old saying, "measure twice and cut once." I would love to use some Team3Six seats. Hint Hint

Does anyone know the dimensions of the TF2 fuel cell? The specs are not shown on the RC4WD site. I am thinking of using one of those behind the seats. I stuck an Axial radio box back there for testing.

Here are a few pics from the progress.

I hit my first road block on the rig tonight. I installed my new Gmade XD piggy back shocks on the rear with no problem. I got to the front and the bottom spring cups will not clear the c-hub on the K-44 axles. So now I will have to go with plan b on shocks, Pro-Line Powerstrokes. I must say though, the Gmade Xd shocks are nice. I hope they will fit one of my other rigs.

How far off is it from fitting? You could take a Dremel to the chubs and take off just enough to allow them fit.

It was about 5mm off. I don't want to go grinding on the K44 chubs. I just put on some of the Pro-Line Powerstroke shocks. They are working nicely.

Nice. I don't think I would want to grind them either. Luckily you had an extra set of shocks. If it was me I don't think I would have a choice. Can't wait to see this things all finished and painted up. The only thing I'm not to fond of it the open top. I've always liked having a roof. Don't know why, I just do. A rag top would be bada$$ on this truck. Just throw a piece of fabric over the top of the cage. Pull it tight and strap it down with some zip-ties. Would be awesome If you did it right. Just have it covering the top and not the sides! But hey this isn't my truck. Do what you like and I'm sure it will still be bada$$!

It does have a top. The top is removal. That is why I am mounting the light bar in the cab so it doesn't effect the removing of the top.

It is screwed on at the front of the top above the windshield and at the bottom of the rear of the top just to the rear of the door handles.

Yes, it does. In the pic you can see the six bolts mounted on the cage; 4 corners of the top and then one on each side at the bottom for the top.

I painted the body last night using Tamiya Sky Blue. It requires the body to be painted and then backed with Tamiya 05 Black. I followed the instructions to a t. It was a total failure. I must say, I am so glad I bought a spare body.

Well after last nights failure, I am back to the drawing board for color choices. I like that Tamiya Sky Blue, but it is a pain trying to apply it. The hood cowl and top were going to be painted white. I used the whole can and it didn't apply thick enough not to let the black take over on one side of the body. The instructions stated it had to be backed with Tamiya Black 05. The passenger door turned out ok. It looks like the color I was trying to apply. The rest either looked smoky or an iridescent color.

Since it is going to be a while before Team3six is making more seats, I decided to rob my Hilux of it's seats for this build. Here is a pic of the seats in the truck for mock up.

Since this pic I have decided on the interior finish. I am going with a diamond plate floor, aluminum dash and carbon fiber transmission tunnel. Stay tuned.

I got the diamond plate flooring and the carbon fiber transmission tunnel installed. So of course I had to take some pics.

I know you saw the previous pics on how the paint job turned out. Wait until you see the salvage job.

You can take the paint of lexan without damaging it. Different ways to do it - Google it.

Unless of course the lexan got damaged.

Looks great! From my experience, I would think you would want to back that Sky Blue with some White. You can remove the paint with Dot 4 brake fluid without hurting the lexan.

The instructions said to used Tamiya Black 5. It just appears the Sky Blue did not provide good enough coverage from the one can. I did a search and saw the DOT 4 brake fluid striping method.
