Default My Chevy clod scx10 almost finished

I have some things left [under coat rear inner fenders, shave axles, yadda yadda] to do but it is about there. Look at the pics and tell me what you think. Special thanks to Damian outta Enid OK for some killer paint skills and Chad30w for keeping me in the loop!

Thanks for all the kind words. I am not sure what motor combo I am going with yet. I have a JRH 7 turn puller that I purchased for it but I am thinking of something a little slower now. Maybe a 35 turn. I want to have good wheel speed but still be able to do some minor crawling. And I should add that I would like to get 30 min run time out of my batteries.

I agree, sweet truck man. I think it would look good with the rock sliders that bolt on the frame to cover that gap between the body and frame.

A good 35 turn would do it, although it depends what you're running for batteries. I'm switching over to all lipo on all my stuff and a 3S pack is great for 35's .

The pro line sliders? I have a set and they don't fit the truck very well. maybe a custom set made out of 3/16 stainless would do it. I don't like the gap either so I will address it.

I started a build thread but deleted it because there was not much interest from the board. I will post what pics I have of how I mounted the body and the like.

Damn nice looking truck man. Question about your leaf set-up. Are you running springs and oil in your shocks? I noticed they were inverted, do they perform better that way or is that for asthetics? i just installed a set of reds on my trailfinder. I'm running High-lift shocks with just a dab of oil and RC4wd ultra-soft springs. I'd like to run the shocks with no springs but i'm scared I'll bend the leafs. Have you ever run those red leafs without springs in your shocks? One more question if you don't mind, It looks like your wheelbase is perfect for the Clod body. Did you shorten it? Thanks!

Yes wheel base was shortened. The shocks are from rc4wd and are empty, no springs or o rings, truly empty. They were mainly for looks but I am working on a custom set of shocks that are not functional but way more scale looking.
