| Rampede's Bronco Trail Finder Build "Mud Cow"
Well, I finally collected enough parts to start my build. So, far, everything was purchased in the classified section. Silver Trail Finder Chassis: T-Rex Aluminum Axles: Chino'd Springs: I pretty much have a roller now. Still waiting for a few parts. It has a 12" wheelbase and I want to do my first scaler project, so I am still up in the air about which body to use. Ford Bronco, F-350, or Dodge Ram seem to be in the lead right now. More to come later as the parts come in. Waiting for a RC4WD 2speed Dig tranny, should be here any day. Thanks to everyone who sold me parts so far! __________________ I want one truck that does everything. Oh hell, I'll just buy three. OK, some progress, it's always nice when you actually get the parts that you pay for. First, I experimented with a Blazer body that I got on the super cheap. Then, when my Bronco body finally arrived, I got it trimmed up, not perfect yet, but: OK, so there it is for now. Please let me know what you think of the paint. I was thinking White/Black Mud Cow for the Bronco, but I am also thinking maybe a custom mixed dark color with Cobra racing stripes. I also am going to be using Dark Soul black scaler wheels. Please feel free to comment or ask questions. Thanks for looking. |

I think the dark color with Cobra stripes would look good with the DS wheels. If it's a runner yet, come out to Corona Del Mar tonight and test it out! |

Just out of curiosity, where did you get your name from? Does it have anything to do with the origional mud cow?

I didn't know there was an original Mud Cow. I used to have a 1:1 Landcruiser that I named Sand Cow for Glamis.
