Default Scalers JK #2

Well ive missed my JK ever since i sold it, got the chance to make a trade for a brand spankin new body a couple months ago and it has been sitting here waiting since.

In the meantime i had picked up a Tamiya Bruiser chassis with no idea what to use it for but i now plan to put it to use under the JK.
Bought some new parts last night and today, will be on there way to me beginning of the week.

Parts on the way now:
Axial axles with rear lockouts
SCX shocks
Random SCX links
bunch of light buckets for random uses (rock lights etc)
Create A Crawler one9 6 Spokes with Rock Crushers

Parts i need:
Holmes Torquemaster BR-XL ESC
Hitec 7954SH (or similar)
Integy 35t
1.9 Rok Lox, or the new style 1.9 Crushers
Spekky rx

Also thinking about learning to braze for this one.
Maybe a front bumper, some very modest sliders (so they dont hang on everything) and a rear bumper/swing away tire carrier combo.

And im thinking about running leaves up front and 4-link the rear.

Nuff Said, Couple pics

Update !

Been collecting more parts, sold the Bruiser chassis and picked up an SCX frame set.

Got the body all mounted, hoping to get the axles linked up today also.
Front mount hinges.

Rear posts modded.

Into interior where they should go un-noticed for the most part.

Opens up for very nice access to anything hooked to the chassis

Ran into a road block already guys. Didnt like how far back the frame was sittin compared to the body. So i will be cutting peices off the rear to extend the front.

Gonna cut it apart now, and hopefully i can make it out to the shop to weld it up soon tonight.

Looking good so far But i too didnt like how the frame was to short and had to lengthen mine. When you do look at my thread and see how i mounted the body its really nice and easy to do and all 4 mounts are used with clips

I just like it this way, its 2 less clips to take out and lose while changing batteries and crap haha.

Yeah but id rather not cut my interior, this is how i built my last JK and it wasnt too awful bad.

Got her sittin on her own last night.

Not sure about the front 4-links, probably going to redo them shorter and remount them to the frame close to the axle.

Redid the front 4-link.

Trans hiding up in the seat backs.

Decent flex for not having much weight in it yet too.

Havent gotten that far yet.

Small update though.
Lowered the ride height by about half, springs are now single coil. Half droop/Half sprung i guess you could say.
