Default The Rust Bucket

I painted this body about 3 yrs ago & finally decided to build a good scaler out of it. I had it half-a$$ed put together as a scaler before but never did a build thread on it, so I figured its time to do it right.

I started with a Proto chassis I picked up from someone off here ( its a diaz I think????)

A slightly used R2 I had layin around along with a HH Tourquemaster 35t that also has very little use.

First up was bolting the tranny to the chassis, I decided to bolt it directly to the chassis without using a skid.... (that will come later)

Next up is the donor WK axles I had sittin around

Quick mock up shot.....

I re-used the links from the half a$$ed scaler for the lowers and the uppers..... The rear is done. I'm not happy with the shocks for now (full droop) but a lil more tweaking & some better scale shocks & maybe shock hoops might be in the near future.

A couple shots of the front (the front shocks are laying down more than I like but that will soon change).

The tires installed..... I think the WB is a lil too wide but I am debating on narrowing the axles to make the tires tuck or installing fender flares.

And finally a quick shot of the body.....

I still got a ton of work to do, but a decent roller for now. Hopefully I will be able to get it finished fairly quick but workin 84hrs a week I can only do so much at a time.....

Any suggestions are always welcome
