Default The Redneck

ok so i've been slowly getting things together for my new build since i traded off Project FlatOut.

here's what i have now. axial axles, strc c hubs and steering knuckles
tekin fxr/35t hand wound pro motor cc bec
brand new rok lox's
axial trans
k5 blazer body-un painted
dx3e
hobbico 333oz tq servo
servo winch
3racing winch for looks
axial driveline cups

soon to have here within a day or so
my scx10 chassis "honcho rtr minus the axles and links and electronics"

what i need to do when i get the chassis
get my wheelbase correct for the blazer body
paint body
get cgr blazer with cage so i can put it in blazer body
get everything working good, wired everything up
go have fun.

ive got a long week ahead of me. lol
i'll post pics soon.

so i figure now is a good time for an update lol

i need to take more pics.
the rear bumper is mounted, not sure if i like it.. idk..
steering servo is mounted, winch servo is mounted.
now i need to mount all the electronics, paint the body, wire the lights and then hopefully tomorrow i can get the shorter links i need for the rear. im going to shorten the rear end by 22mm.
so i was planning on using 80mm links down low and 60mm up top. do you think that would put my pinion angle correct?

oh and sorry for the crappy pics. they are from my phone. "only camera i have atm"

am i right in thinking with my 4link truss in the rear having 60mm upper links and 80mm lower links that will put my pinion angle correct? not 100% sure and i dont want to spend 15 bucks on links for nothing lol

i unfortunately dont have a better camera. the only one i have is on my phone. The interior is all black except for the dash decal and the steering wheel decal. i know i should have taken more time to detail the interior but i will for sure take more pics and detail the interior.

no, i took the cgr blazer body and cut it up for the interior and used the regular proline blazer body, i then drilled 4 holes in the cab of the blazer and ran screw into the cage of the cgr body/interior to hold it down. then i took double sided sticky tape and put it along the sides of the cgr interior and stuck it to the blazer body, then i ran a bead of shoe goo along the whole seam where the interior meets the body to keep it sealed from water and debris.

what brand is that body? does it fit properly on the axial honcho chassis ?

did you have to trim the body alot?. did you have to adjust the chassis ? mounts ?

I really like you rig !! keep up the good work

how do you get the wheelbase of the chassis lined up with the body ?

the body is proline, go to rcplanet.com and look up blazer.

i didnt HAVE to trim the body as much as i did. I choose to because i cant stand wheel/body touching. i didnt have to adjust the chassis just the rear end links. i used a 4x65mm link on the rear with jato rod ends for the uppers. im still trying to figure out what to do with the lowers. as of now the lowers are just camber links off a traxxas vehicle. i also had to cut down my rear driveline. hope some of this helps.
