| New to me - "Project Cherokee" XJ
Hey guys, a few weeks ago I picked up this Awesome Cherokee scaler from a fellow member on here. Heres how she looked when I originally bought it...( minus the snorkle). It was built using a new Honcho kit, and heres the long parts list it came with.. Integy steel driveshafts (F/R) DH Fab steel front bumper 3Racing AX10-17/HD Heavy duty bevel gear set (F/R) RC4WD Tough Armor rear tire carrier Cherokee body Proline roof rack Proline light bar with installed LED's Tamiya light unit Spare rear tire Front 3Racing winch RC4WD black 1.55" wheels and Stompers Front steering stabilizer shock Hitec HS5645MG steering servo Red front aluminum knuckles Rear bent 4 links 45 turn lathe motor ( I currently also have a set of the new Proline 1.9" Swampers on order, which are going on as soon as they arrive..!!) I really liked the overall look of this rig right from the start, so I basically just added a few more scale details, ( as well as correcting a few things that were previously wrong ). Next up on the list is going to be a full interior. Heres some 4 wheelin' pics from today - More to come soon - Enjoy Then my JK also wanted to come out to play - |

| Thanks - I got those from an Axial light bucket set ( same thing that comes along with the stock Honcho Kit). They fit perfectly over the Proline lights mounted on the bar. All I did was glue them on. |

| Small Update
Over the summer I had the XJ out wheelin' at a big scaler GTG in western Mass - heres a few pics from back then..... Ouch - there goes the rain gutter.. And heres the group shot.... Then this past weekend, I finally got to add a few more things... I picked up a Proline Interior kit, painted it semi-flat black and in she went - Then I had Dave at "DH Fab" whip me up this Awesome set of rock sliders and lastly ( and probably my favorite modification on this truck so far) was the installation of a true set of headlight buckets. I'm surprised I haven't seen this done ALOT more, but I added a set of Tamiya YJ light buckets and lenses... they are a PERFECT fit on this truck and make the grill look Awesome..!! Time to wire up some more LED's and hit the trails..! |

Good looking XJ Chris, only thing I am not feeling is the steering stabilizer, it is to big of a shock. The head light mod does look awesome on these, I did a few weeks back on my MJ |
