Default Project F250

A while ago I started a thread in the large scale forum, I decided to put 1.9's under it...and it really wasn't 1/6th scale....

heres the orginal thread
Squatch71's F250

I started with mounting the leaf springs...these have since changed..but only the brackets turned 90 degrees...to make the wheels clear when they turn.

Kind of mocked up..

Cut my own shackles..and mounted the front leaf springs to frame...

Gotta keep puttin the body on......love this thing..duct tape works for holding the body on the frame...pretty good.....

Will post more when I get it.

thanks for lookin and look forward to the comments

updates.
Bent a transfercase bracket, and durafixed it to the frame...I like this stuff

Made rear links

Tranny mount in the front...

Attached the tranny and transfercase

made a upper link bracket...love this durafix stuff....

put on the upper links

all put together.....

another view, you can see the leaf spring mounts where I turned them 180 degrees. No it won't be this tall and have this much travel, in the rear anyway.

thanks for looking and look forward to the comments.

It's looking good, that is going to be a beast. I really like the transfer case mount, very slick setup.

Update....

Big78 and I had a build weekend, was pretty cool...he got lots done on two of his rigs and I worked on mine...

started with this

made this

stuck it here

for this

then put that there

for these

made this

for that

Now this is the cool part...all put as a "roller" had to put in some flex shots...I think it does pretty good for what it is...and it puts alot of doubts behind.

Yes its articulating and yes all three tires are touching the cow mat. the lift is about 3 1/2", can do the same to the front as well.....

and thats it...........................

BITCHIN! Man, you're really Durafux...er....Durafixing the shit outta this bad boy! It makes for a really clean frame dude. I like the way this is coming together. Those front shock mounts are badass! I also like the way you mounted the rear shocks. It leaves you all the room you need to mount the body, even with a dropped bed box.

You guys got a shit-ton more fun stuff done last weekend than I did.

Looks like it was a good time. I gotta get over next time you guys are building.

it is a little wider than I hoped, but it is the width of stock axial axles. Don't really want to cut them down, and I can live with the width.

Sooo, Big78 and I were building....moved my computer and just got it up and running so heres some pics of our build weekend.

I was thinking on how to mount the thing on the front...he cut this really quick...

and then made this and tweeked it a bit

clamped on for tweeking

still have some tweeking on it...but starting to look good, I raised the body with some body lifts so the tires clear.
