been workin on building a scale toyota hilux for the last year and am trying to make it look like my 1:1 and am looking into tire options now has any body ran these tires? http://store.rc4wd.com/Roady-17-Comm...res_p_735.html my 1:1 is stock but still used for playing so I want my 1:10 to do the same its based on a SCX-10 kit i have been running it for over a year now and decieded to make it more realistic. I started by making my own custom front leaf springs(ach negative like my 1:1) and leaf spring mounts. played with that then lowered the body so it lined up like my 1:1. the leafs worked and flexed great and I liked the ride but didnt like how my steering was so I put it back to links/coils and am waiting to get the RCBROs kit and then debating on what to do for the rear to keep it low and still flex and look scale Im going for a stock factory look but still capable like my 1:1 anywas no more talk will post pics after dinner Last edited by 4x4yota; 12-06-2010 at 11:37 PM. |

Can't wait to see the finished product. The steelies from RC4wd look pretty darn close to your 1:1 wheels: http://store.rc4wd.com/OEM-Steel-19-...tion_p_76.html I'd say get em! |

ordered a new body and a windshield. my current cab had the roof smashed on the last couple roll overs so figured its time to get a new body set to build to match my 1:1 and turn the green one into a crawler body(exo, new paint body modsect...) I already cut off the fender flares to help clear my 2.2s if I ever decided to run them but other than that just been playing with it... will take more pics in the next couple days
