| Scale Jeep Comanche MJ Custom Project I decided to build a scale Jeep Comanche MJ crawler as my first attempt for hand building a model truck. SPECS (at this point of time): Proline Jeep Comanche Body Axial SCX10 Locked Axles Axial 27 Turn motor RC4WD Distruptor Transmission CGM Transfer Case Tamiya F350 springs with RC4WD Shooter Shackles RC4WD Torque Force 1.9 Wheels Proline Super Swamper 1.9 Tires Novak Rooster Crawler ESC 5000 MAH 2-Cell Lipo Battery I am not completely happy with the scale leaf spring set-up on the model. It articulates well, but the axle wrap from the motor torque bends the leaf springs too easliy when I give too much throttle on a climb. I added a short second leaf which helps. I may end up swithing to coils on the back for better performance & durability. I will add a bedliner, LED lights, winch and lots of details over the Winter. And now on to the photos. These are in no particular order. Shots of fresh paint before any scratches... Torque Force wheels, Super Swampers and scratched up paint... Photos of the build... My only complaint while running it is the front bumper. It is too low, drags on the rocks and does not allow good approach angles. I need to make a tube bumper that mounts highter up to the to grill. I am learning as I go. That gives me an excuse to go and use my buddy's TIG welder some more!!!

The mini C-clamps were from my father-in-law's workshop. He was a machinist. They are very handy, and easy to make on a small milling machine.

Nice rig. Alot of little custom details. Torque wheels look surprising good.
