Another great day at the Falls. Water wasn't as high this time and we tried out a G6 style course. It was a blast! Helmet continues to get better and better as I tweak and tune on him and my boy's Cherokee just keeps on surprising me. Few pics of the OG crew at the falls!  |

Just finished up a "re-build" of Helmet. Poor bastard has been rode hard and put away wet many times over the last few months and he was in need of some TLC. Tore down the axles, installed a fresh set of Axial OD/UD ring and pinions, replaced several bearings and cleaned and re-lubed those that were still in good shape, and then repacked the axles w/ grease. Tore the tranny down and replaced the gears w/ steel gears and a Robinsons spool, replaced all the bearings, and then packed it full of grease. Also rebuilt my good ol' Holmes Hobbies Tourqe Master w/ some fresh brushes and springs. Water is tough on the brushes. Have to replace them often. Re-lubed the bearings and it's ready for another under sea adventure.Cleaned and re-lubed my MIP drive shafts as well. KCRC is having a scale GTG at the Falls and Helmet is ready! I'll post up some pics tomorrow! |
