| newb to scale questions about tamiya body please
ok, so i have a couple questions on what these molds are for. first what is this cutout for in the fender flare? on 1:1 would anyone in RL mount a light on this flare? is it hard or rubber? next, i have no clue WTH this is supposed to be for, i was looking to mount some antennaes but didn't want to look stupid if i did. would it be scale to mount an antennae in these 2 spots(where i have the temp traxxas rod ends)? sorry but ive been having difficulty using the search for hard body pics and builds here. |

the " cut out " on the flare is so you can see the marker light from the side. and the rear ugly parts that your trying to use for antenna mounts are actually parts of the body mounting setup for the cc-01 chassis. cut them off and fill them with styrene. |

^^^ thanx.now that makes sense. only question left is are the fender flares in 1:1 metal, plastic, rubber, etc..... hard enough that someone(non ghetto) would mount a light? sorry to sound ignorant, but i'm a vdubber and bike guy so i have no clue to how the jeeps are made and what pieces are made from what materials.

Kind of a hard rubber. I wouldn't mount a light there.

Fender flares are made of mildly-flexible plastic. I've owned 3 1:1 Jeeps, a CJ-7, YJ and a TJ. Any more q's?

I don't know for the YJs but on TJ jeep it's made of plastic, a lot of people are doing "home made" metal tubing fender flare
