Default scrap 4runner

Well Noob was going to retire this. I figured it would be a good replacement for the honcho body.

cut about a 1" out of it

and added a few rust holes.

borrowed Noobs weld seam idea.

picked up a hood at the local junk yard for it

sprayed a little Rhino liner on the rockers.. that should fix the rust problems.

Cool..

made a receiver and hitch for the runner today. also changed out tires/wheels.

1/2 square tube cut down and rewelded and 1/4" keyway stock for combo hitch.

There still new they will rust

burnt up the motor last time out. So I am going to go back and try a outrunner again.. picked this one up from HK and it seems pretty well made, 3550KV on 3s..

First impressions it was fast as hell but my spur gear was eat up pretty bad so things were running kinda warm.. I changed out the spur and geared it down some. Gearing on first run was 90/14.. Now I have a 96/12 on it much better still has lots of rip, but the low end is better still not great but fine for a class 1 trail rig.. I got some video I will try and get it uploaded tonight..

Got to test out the motor today and its pretty good.. Low end is good. top end is great.. awesome little trail motor.

Picked up some shoo goo and finished the body strengthening.. Roof is fiber glass cloth coated in shoe goo. side pillers are shoe goo'ed and zip tied for added strength.. Hopefully the body can take a little more abuse now..

Added a little skid to the front bumper.. I may cut off the fairlead mount not happy with it really.. Probably should clean up the welds some more to..

Really I just want to try out the doming block and make some dimple holes..

Works pretty good will take some more practice but I like it..
